Diplomate National Board (DNB)

Fellowship Programs
Neuro and Vascular Interventional Radiology
Under the Dr.MGR Medical University offers a two year Interventional Radiology Program with extensive hands on and clinical experience. A wide variety of procedures in Interventional and Neurointerventional Radiology are practiced in the department and students are trained in all of them. Interviews are typically conducted during the last week end of may and the course starts from 1st of July. The exam consists of an interview which covers diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. Further short listed candidates will also undergo a clinical and spotter round.
Orthopaedics Spine Surgery
Under the Dr. MGR Medical University offers a two year Orthopaedic Spine Surgery – Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme with extensive hands on training and rich clinical experience. The students are trained in a wide range of spine procedures from nerve root block to endoscopic spine procedures and major deformity correction by “Vertebral Column Resection”
Head and Neck Surgery
The head & neck surgical oncology fellowship program at KMCH offers a wide range and volume of cases for acquiring surgical skills. These include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, surgery for tumors of the oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx and hypopharynx, transoral laser/robotic surgery, parotidectomy, endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery, and reconstructive surgery. The fellow would progress through a structured training program that involves initial assisting, followed by supervised and independent operating. Clinical research is essential and publication of at least one peer reviewed original article is expected. Duration of the program is 2 years. We are in the process of getting accreditation from Tamilnadu MGR medical university.
