Laboratory Medicine
The Institute of Laboratory Medicine is managed by qualified team of specialists and providing 24 hours service. There are about 140 staff members working in the Institute of Laboratory Medicine. All of them are well trained in their respective field of speciality of Clinical Laboratory technology, Blood Bank, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular biology and Pathology.
All the Laboratory specialities are well equipped with State of the Art equipments, fully automated and some of the them are integrated. All the analysers are bidirectionally interfaced with Laboratory Information system (LIS) to eliminate the manual programming errors.

Blood Bank
KMCH Blood Bank is licensed by the Drugs Controller of Tamil Nadu and Drugs Controller General of India. The Department of Blood Bank encourages 100% voluntary blood donation.
Pathology
Department of Pathology is fully equipped with state of art equipments with annular case load of 22,000 specimen. The department has five full time expert pathologists, one with more than 21 years working experience..
