Dr Arulraj Ramakrishnan is a Gastroenterologist associated with KMCH. He has 26 years of experience and has worked as an expert in different cities in India. He was previously associated with Europe’s largest liver transplant unit at Birmingham, UK, and Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Doctor Arulraj has contributed to handling numerous complex medical cases in several hospitals. He is known for his attention to accurate diagnosis and treating patients empathetically. 

The specialty interests of Dr Ramakrishnan are Liver transplantation, Liver diseases, Portal Hypertension and Liver failure.

He was instrumental in developing radiological interventions for the management of Portal hypertension and Hepatocellular cancer and setting up HDU-level care for Hepatology in the UK.

He is also an active member of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG).

2. Achieved Certified Completion of Training (CCT) in General Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology in UK, in 2011
3. Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology in Liver Unit, Birmingham, UK, 2012

He has also participated in research work and various workshops under the Gastroenterology department and published many papers.
